Medusa's Mirror is the artistic outlet of Sara Glassman.
Sara first started making jewelry after her mother used a local bead store as a babysitter. (Never do this. It is both annoying to the business and much, much, much more expensive than a regular babysitter.) With hours to kill and an entire store full of beads, findings, and tools she began to create bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.
(She still has some of these early pieces. They are... certainly things you can wear.)
Eventually, after taking various workshops, including a wonderful class at Arrowmont, Sara ended up working at the very same bead store where she got her start. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Sara is primarily inspired by the books she reads. Many of her pieces have their genesis in the words of her favorite authors.
